Fired Up 2022

WHAT IS IT?

What do you think of when you hear Fired up? A campfire? Fireplace? An engine starting? Fired up is a state of continuous being–-being filled up with the Holy Ghost and living on fire for God. We are hungry and thirsty for God, for more of Him and His Kingdom! It’s the experience of seeing the Kingdom of God around us through signs and wonders, seeing people being healed and set free from bondage, sickness, diseases, demons by the power of God. These miracles, signs, and wonders are not just what we read in the Bible- they are for today also!

GET FIRED UP!

The power of God was flowing freely through the conference. I saw people on fire for God. The evidence of hunger I saw was people worshiping

with their whole hearts by dancing, singing, flagging, kneeling, lying face flat on the ground pouring out their worship to the one true God. The worship was pure and anointed. People experienced healing and deliverance in the glory. It was a beautiful sight to behold! The children were also worshiping, there was no “Jr. Holy Spirit” here! It was a beautiful picture of Psalm 133:1 how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! As Jesus said in John 4:23 “but the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him." Fired Up! Had true worshippers! From worship, to ministry time, to the Word of God delivered by Apostle Cathy, it was a full display of the Kingdom of Heaven here on Earth. Apostle’s message that night brought truth and action. She beseeched us to live on fire for God, this is the only way to live! How do we get fire up? Repent and allow God to cleanse us from all sin, to search our hearts, and to fill us up to overflow. It is a heart posture and action. There’s no waiting, live on fire now!

Advent - Does Birthing the Promise Bring More Warfare?

“Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold wise men from the East came to Jerusalem.” Matthew 2:1

After Jesus was born Herod wanted to destroy His life.

“Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream saying, ‘Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.’” Matthew 2:13

Once the promise has been birthed, it is not time to let go, it’s time to press on!

Jesus was born! The Messiah, the Christ, the Anointed one was here! Shouldn’t that have solved every problem? Shouldn’t things become easier?

No!

When you give birth to your promise the battle truly begins!

We celebrate Jesus, born in a humble manger, in a feeding trough for animals, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. The challenges He would face were great and the forces behind those challenges were demonic!

When the Lord speaks a promise to you and you see the beginning of it come to pass, hold steadfast to Him for the challenges are about to increase.

In every challenge, Jesus is our strong tower, our help in time of need!

Proverbs 18:10 “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.”

I heard the promise, “Move to California, I am doing a new thing, a new generation.”

Once my husband and I made that move and we gave our lives to Jesus, that was the beginning of the promise.

The problems did not disappear, they grew worse!

The faith trials were about to begin, and we were about to enter into a time of testing, that that only by the hand of God, we would be able to arise from.

Years of testing began. “Will You Trust Me No Matter What?”

This was the question the Lord asked me in 2008, starting many years of spiritual warfare against my family. My response was, “Yes, Lord, no matter what. I am the handmaiden of the Lord. My life is yours.”

With that affirmation to the Lord, He again stretched and tested me to the extreme. My marriage was attacked, and all four children were struggling. By the grace of God, I never let go of the hand of Jesus. I pressed into Jesus and worshiped Him all the more. The more the enemy attacked my family, my promise, the more I worshiped Him!

At that point I had what I refer to as my “Job dream.” As in the book of Job, I was tested in every way.

In my dream I saw Satan came to the Lord and said to him, “What about Cathy? Sure, she loves you. Sure, she worships you. But cause her family to go haywire, destroy everything that is important to her. Then let’s see if she loves You.”

I woke up from the dream and thanked the Lord for giving me a revelation as to what the enemy was planning to do and I told the Lord regardless of what I would have to go through, “I will love You and serve You, no matter what!”

For 12 long years the testing did not stop. The children walked in and more rebellion. Yet the encounters of the Lord also increased. During this deeply difficult time I was carried along by my Heavenly Father in the secret place.

It was in that secret place I had an encounter that launched me into ministry.

In November 2009, in a vision, the Lord gave me a vivid picture of how I was to start a ministry. Jesus visited me and took me to the 3rd heaven. I found myself in a heavenly garden, a beautiful garden with Jesus. He showed me a flash back of my life. He showed me what He rescued me from. He showed me how it was Him that would not let me die all those times when my life was in danger. He showed me that although I thought I was a failure because I could not succeed in taking my life when I was 16 years old, it was the hand of God that did not let me die because He had a plan for my life to use me mightily. Then in this vision, I prophetically gave birth to my ministry. He gave me this mandate: “You are an injustice breaker! Break the injustice off My people! You will teach, and you will preach, but you will be known for signs and wonders.” Then in white bold letters I saw the words, “RECONCILIATION AND RESTORATION PRAYER FOR FAMILIES”, 10:00 am Thursdays, HOPE Room. He told me the two people to invite and gave me their names.

He said to me, “Will you go for Me? Will you be My mouthpiece to the nations?” I responded with, “Yes, Lord. I will go wherever You call me. I am Your handmaiden, let it be done unto me according to Your Word.” That very same year, 2009, I founded Cathy Coppola International Ministries.

The promise to “Move to California, I am doing a new thing, a new generation,” was just beginning.

When the warfare against you is being poured on, remember it is the promise the enemy is after. He does not want you to succeed in being a mouthpiece for the Lord.

Every promise that He has made to you will come to pass if you do not give in to the warfare and continue to be faithful to do what is at hand today!

2 Corinthians 1:20 “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”

The enemy could not kill Jesus although he tried. All throughout His life on earth, the threat of the enemy existed, but it would not be fulfilled. Even when the enemy thought he finally had victory at the cross he was put to shame by Jesus’ resurrection on that third day!

Just because your promise brings in problems it doesn’t mean you did not hear correctly. It does not mean you should change your mind or quit. It means you need to hold on to the word of God and never stray from obedience to His word.

He requires obedience not sacrifice.

1 Samuel 15:22 “Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.”

Birthing your promise brings in more warfare but being steady in His word will cause you to be victorious at every turn!

2 Corinthians 2:14 “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.”

Your family is counting on you to hold to the truth of God’s word and never let go.

The Lord is counting on you to be faithful to Him.

Hold on to the promise and hold on to His word! You are a warrior, and the victory has already been purchased by His blood!

Obedience to Him will bring in the ultimate blessing in your life!

Stand strong in Christ, mighty soldier!

Advent - Impregnated with Promise

Mary was gripped with fear at this previously unheard of and very unusual announcement. The angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph; Mary was frightened, yet available, Mary was willing. Her heart’s posture was revealed by her countenance, yet the angel called her favored.

God had a plan to use this young girl who would bring forth the greatest gift of God, His Son Jesus Christ.

Luke 1:30-35 “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”

And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”

This angelic visitation could have cost her everything. Yet she and Joseph were obedient to the Lord and discerned His voice above all others.

Her simple question in verse 34 “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” Was one spoken in willful obedience to all the Lord would require.

Impregnated with promise! That’s what the Lord wants for you. The highest degree of blessing is awaiting you as you seek His face and yield to Him. Expect the unexpected.

When He calls you to a task larger than you thought possible to accomplish, He empowers you to fulfill it. He did so with Mary, the mother of Jesus. The Holy Spirit will come upon you and overshadow you! Think about this, His shadow blanketing you! When you allow Him to work through you His wonder working power takes over at the moment you realize you have become pregnant with promise and will be sustained by heavenly provision to carry out your assignment.

In Luke 1:35 the Lord gave Mary very important details about what to expect next. “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”

Heavenly assignments require heaven’s supply. He will supply when you come with simplicity and humility expecting Him to move on your behalf.

When my husband and were newlyweds and had just begun our family, I heard the voice of the Lord speak to me and He said to leave our place of residence, leave our extended family and move to another state. This was quite a shock.

We had never thought of moving. We were not planning on relocating and starting over in a land where we knew no one. We were comfortable surrounded by family and everything familiar.

Yet, I knew this was the voice of the Lord and that I must obey it. I had not yet given my heart to the Lord, but I knew this was God.

Searching for truth and hungry for answers, we packed up our belongings and within one month we moved 400 miles always.

The Lord said, “Move to California, I am doing a new thing, a new generation.”

Isaiah 43:19 19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

Needless to say, our family back home was not happy with our decision and quite distraught over it.

When your calling demands a separation, anything but quick obedience is disobedience and will lead to robbery.

Fearful, yet full of promise we took the leap of faith and began our journey.

We moved to a new land and began our life still not knowing the Lord who spoke this radical word.

As He would have it, it was not long before both my husband and I surrendered our lives to Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. His word impregnated me with promise.

You see from a little girl; I had always wanted to know God. Raised in a traditional church, I never received the answers that I was seeking.

The Lord who formed me when I was in my mother’s womb had a great plan for me.

His plan included the necessity of being separated from all I ever knew so He could pour into me what His perfect will was. Obedience brings blessing but requires your surrender.

The fear of moving to an unknown territory, for us was great. Would we make it? Who would help us? What about the loneliness? What about the financial burden?

Yet, I knew I had heard the voice of the one that I sought after my whole life. Nothing would change my mind about that.

When you become pregnant there is an internal knowing even though everything external is quite uncertain.

That was 34 years ago! Now looking back, I see the hand of God moving us in position to be carriers of God’s truth, His Son Jesus Christ.

A new generation has been born. The torch has been lit and is being carried. The lamp of the Lord is lit.

Many are turning their lives to Christ and walking in His fullness.

Impregnated to shine brightly for Him. Our spirits are the lamp of the Lord.

Proverbs 20:27 The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, searching all the inner depths of his heart. A living lamp shining His light is who we are called to be.

This Christmas season, take some time to reflect on the promise that He has impregnated you with.

Trust Him in the process. He always fulfills what He gives birth to.

Happy Thanksgiving From Our Family to Yours! 2022

What a joy it is to share with each one of you just a few highlights of the Lord’s incredible blessings in my life!

With a heart full of gratitude, I give all glory to the One who saved my soul and restored my life by making me whole. I will spend a lifetime giving Him praise for only He could capture this heart and bring beauty from the ashes, joy from sorrow, and purpose from pain.

Jesus is my Rock and my sure foundation in Him alone I praise!

Because He rescued me and set me ablaze for Him, I now live a radical life surrendered to the One from whom all blessings flow.

I am eternally grateful for my amazing husband, Phil. What an amazing man of God he is. One who loves me with a love greater than most could understand. He has always stood by my side and together we live our lives giving God praise! Truly, the Lord has been good to me.

The four beautiful children we have been entrusted with to love, nourish, and bring up in the fear and admonition of the Lord is beyond a gift to me. I will always be eternally grateful for these four cherished gifts of life the Lord has given to us. They are arrows in our quiver and olive plants around our table. The blessings continue with grandchildren! With three beautiful babies and another one on the way, our cup is full! Being a Nonna is beyond anything that was ever told me. The joy they bring is such a kiss from heaven. They can make me smile even when I am at my lowest. The unparalleled love they pour out brings healing to my soul. They are God’s masterpieces for the glory of our King.

I cherish my parents, brother, sister-in-law, and nieces as we have been blessed with a family that honors God and lives with integrity towards one another.

The Lord has expanded my borders and has entrusted me with an amazing church, House of Glory, and an amazing body of believers throughout social media. Each one of you have a cherished place in my heart! We have seen the glory of God poured out in incredible ways over the years and I know that He is not done! Entering His Holy of Holies in worship and prayer with you all has been incredible! Seeing the miraculous hand of God move upon so many of you with healing and deliverance is like watching heaven’s continuous overflow bringing His power, and His presence! I am in awe of Him! With so many testimonies of healing and restoration we have so much to be thankful for!

I want to thank each ministry partner for your faithfulness to this ministry the Lord has entrusted me with. I do not take it lightly. I know God’s blessing is on this ministry and I give Him all glory for everything that He does. The financial and prayer support that each one of you has given has been a vital part of its growth and the spreading of the gospel. I am truly grateful for each one of you. Great is your reward in heaven for your obedience to Him.

“I always thank my God for you because of His grace given you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Corinthians 1:4

So many people have been touched all over the world as our TV network, Mighty Wind, continues to reach far and wide, remote places that would otherwise not have an opportunity to hear the good news of Jesus Christ.

When He instructed me to begin a TV network, He spoke this scripture, “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.” Acts 2:2

Now just a few years later I can see such amazing fruit coming forth from this simple act of obedience unto Him.

Yet, we are nowhere near close to being done! We will continue preaching the gospel over the airwaves, to the ends of the earth. The manifested glory of God is being made known to every tongue, tribe, and nation and will continue. Signs, wonders, and miracles follow the preaching of the Word and we have just begun to see His incredible increase! All glory to our Savior, Jesus Christ!

With this foundational verse, Mark 16:20 “And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following,” let us continue to be diligent with everything that He’s has placed in front of us. For in this is blessing and honor to our Lord and Savior.

With many commitments to Christ, we have been experiencing an increase in a hunger for more of the Word of God. This is such a blessing. To know one simple “Yes” to the Lord over 30 years ago would produce such increase in so many people’s lives. I am undone at His favor and mercy!

Each day is a gift. When I was raising young children, the Lord impressed upon my heart to always live each day with the end in mind. Because of this wisdom He gave me I can say I do not live with regrets. Not that every day was perfect, but because He always is!

He trained me to live in the moment even while having four young ones who all needed me at the same time. He taught me to not miss the beauty in the moment for the Lord is always working. He is always making things beautiful if we will just let Him.

Now years later I think back at those days when I homeschooled my children and poured my all into them. I am thankful that I had the opportunity to stay home and raise them and teach them about the Lord and the true meaning of life.

He taught me many things throughout that process and now being entrusted with a local church, an online community, a worldwide TV Network, writing for a magazine, broadcasting on various TV networks, and teaching classes at a Christian college, I am overwhelmed with joy for everything that He has taught me and has asked me to do.

Truly, the life He’s produced in me is being reproduced in so many others! Look at what the Lord has done! I cannot express my gratitude and thanksgiving enough.

When the Lord spoke to me and said, “Make generals in the faith; train, equip and empower them in everything that I have taught you” I said, “Yes, Lord, for Your glory.”

These are just a few highlights of the many blessings that I am thankful for!

Not to mention the 720 documented healings, countless deliverances, and salvations in just this past year alone! What a wonderful Healer, Deliverer and Savior we serve!

We are blessed by Him for each moment He gives us here on earth, we will give it back to Him with hearts full of gratitude and honor.

“Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love endures forever!” Psalm 136:1

The Agony of Separation

“My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” Then with a loud voice, He spoke His last words, “It is finished. Father, into Your hands I commit My Spirit.”

And with that He breathed His last breath. (Matt. 27:46, Mark 15:34, Luke 23:46, John 19:30)

Not only was Jesus abandoned and betrayed by all 12 of His disciples, but He felt the ultimate form of abandonment, forsaken by His own Father.

The burden of humanities sin weighed heavily upon our Saviors shoulders, but the separation this caused between Him, and the Father was unbearable.

“I and the Father are one.” Yet for this moment, sin separated Him from the Father.

Not His sin.

Ours.

The sin of mankind separated Him from His Father.

The weight of sin was not only grieving our Lord Jesus, but it was grieving our Heavenly Father, who had to look away from His Beloved Son.

Grief, excruciating pain, separation, the tearing apart, the fragmentation that comes from a brutal detachment are just some of what both the Father and the Son experienced at the cross on Friday the day He willingly gave His life as a ransom for many.

They did this all for love.

Love for us.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

“It is finished.” It is paid in full.

For that moment, there was stillness, silence, death, and the weight of sin, separated heaven and earth.

The ultimate sacrifice for the ultimate love.

The love of God for all mankind.

Christ became the curse for us.

Galatians 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.”)

What better day to give your life or to recommit your life to Him than today?

Love for us compelled Him.

Does love for Him compel you?

Slain in the Spirit

Often the Holy Spirit will come upon a person and the power of His presence will cause a person to fall.

Why do people fall under the power of the Holy Spirit?

Is there a biblical basis for being “slain the Spirit”?

I am often asked the questions above. In this article, I will provide scriptures that support individuals falling under the power of the Holy Spirit.

John 18:6

Judas and the band of soldiers along with officials from the chief priests come to arrest Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane they drew back and fell to the ground when He said: “I am He”.

Matthew 17:6

On the Mount of Transfiguration when Peter, James and John heard the voice of the Lord they fell face down in terror.

Revelation 1:17

When the apostle John saw a vision of Jesus in Heaven he fell as though dead.

Acts 9:3-4; Act 26:13-14

When Saul of Tarsus (later known as Paul the apostle) was on his way to Damascus to persecute and arrest Christians he fell of his horse when he heard the Lord’s voice and those around him also fell to the ground.

Numbers 22:31

When the Lord opened Balaam’s eyes and he saw the Angel of the Lord he fell on his face.

2 Chronicles 5:14; 1 Kings 8: 10-11

The priests could not stand to minister in the temple when the glory of the Lord filled the place.

Ezekiel 3:22; 43:2-3; 44:4

When the prophet Ezekiel received instruction from the Lord and saw His glory he fell face down.

From these scripture references you can see that while the term “slain in the Spirit” is not specifically used in Scripture the concept is supported by biblical text as are the words trinity and rapture, for example.

Don’t seek the manifestation; seek God’s presence

Our faith is based on the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ
Seek to be identified with Christ
As you seek God, manifestations of His presence can occur, and you will be “slain in the Spirit” – fall under the power of God

Test the spirits to see if they be true

1 John 4:1 do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 Test all things; hold fast what is good.

Don’t allow a critical spirit to blind you to the heart of God

David danced before the Ark of the Covenant and was mocked but God was pleased
The woman who washed Jesus’ feet with her tears was scolded but Jesus commended her

Use spiritual discernment to identify the counterfeit – “Judge rightly”

John 7:24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.

There will always be counterfeits of God’s working, however, we must be careful not to throw the “baby out with the bath water” choosing to operate out of our flesh (intellect)

Counterfeit moves bring glory to man and not God to whom it does belong

Can a demon knock someone down?

Yes, if they are operating from or with a demonic spirit

God’s power transferred through touch

Mark 5:30 Woman with the issue of blood
Mark 16:18 Believers shall lay their hands on the sick and they shall recover
Luke 4:40 Jesus laid hands on every one of them and healed them
Acts 8:17 Laying on of hands and receiving the Holy Spirit
2 Timothy 1:16 Stir up gift which you received by laying on of hands
Acts 19: 11-12 Paul’s handkerchief

As seen above, individuals can come under the power of God and be ministered to by the Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands, but it is not a requirement

Luke 11:13 He wants to give you good gifts if you ask Him
Acts 2:4 Filled with the Holy Spirit and with tongues as the Holy Spirit gave them utterance
Acts 4:31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.

Conclusion

Satan is a counterfeiter but that doesn’t change the truth. Believers must know truth based on the Word of God and the Spirit of God’s discernment within. Being ‘Slain in the Spirit’ is a wonderful, life empowering, transforming encounter that the Lord gives to His children who will receive such a gift. Do you trust that if you ask Him for bread, He will not give you a stone?

Father, I come to You in the Name of Jesus, I repent of everything that I’ve done which doesn’t please You.

I repent of allowing fear and anxious thoughts to remain in my mind.

I repent of having double standards or being double minded.

I repent of having a critical and judgmental heart.

I repent of putting the needs of others before You Lord.

I repent of idolatry; wanting to please man more than God.

I repent of unholy and unhealthy addictions. (List what is specific to you.)

I repent of not watching my ear gates and eye gates and allowing unholy things to enter my heart.

I repent of using words that grieve the Holy Spirit.

I release them now in forgiveness and command every spirit that was released to me to be bound and cast out. I bless them. I release them to You. Lord, I ask You to bless them and heal them.

Father, I submit my will to You. I desire Your plans and purposes for me. I choose to let go of all control and say to You, “Father, have Your way in my life. I belong to You.”

I take authority over all the wickedness in high places coming against me. I bind all powers of darkness operating in my life. I command all evil abounding in my life to leave me now in Jesus name.

Father release the Host of Heaven to destroy all spirits of addiction, fear, control, manipulation, perversion, financial lack, infirmity and every spirit working against me and my family. (List what is specific to your situation.)

Holy Spirit fill me with Your power.

I declare a mighty turnaround for myself and those I love. I declare, as for me and my house we shall all serve the Lord. (Declare what the Lord gives you.) Father, I pray all this in Your precious Name. Amen.

Be Radically Transformed By The Holy Spirit

Have you been waiting for an answer to prayer or a promise from God? God is He is looking for patience, obedience and strength of spirit.

Jesus was crucified, died and walked the earth appearing to the apostles many times. In Acts 1:4, Jesus told his disciplines to not to leave Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit came upon them in fulfillment of the Father's promise. Jesus was giving them a holy directive from His Father and together they were looking for obedience. These men had been radically changed being around Jesus and had seen miracles, signs and wonders but do you wonder if they thought they did not need to wait? Perhaps a couple of them thought they already had what they needed to preach the Gospel and heal the sick.

"John baptized you with water," he reminded them, "but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit in just a few days." Acts 1:5

And now He sits on the throne of highest honor in heaven, next to God. And just as promised, the Father gave Him the authority to send the Holy Spirit-with the results you are seeing and hearing today. Acts 2:33

On the day of Pentecost, the group of believers met together in one room, in one accord, waiting and expecting for the promise from Jesus. The Holy Spirit came upon the house where they were meeting and everyone present was filled. The Holy Spirit came with power, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead came upon each person. Now the promise had been fulfilled. Now the believers could walk in power and experience signs and wonders just as they saw Jesus do.

If you are a believer and a follower of Christ and have been baptized in the Holy Spirit you have that same dunamis power. Remember that the power of the Holy Spirit can diminish if you are not praying, seeking God and continuing to walk in righteousness. The enemy of God wants to create circumstances in your life to keep you in doubt or worrying about whether your prayers will be answered. He is hoping that you will indeed tire of waiting and choose to create your own answers instead of waiting in anticipation.

Daily habitation in your holy sanctuary (upper room or prayer closet) will give you courage and patience. Ask the Holy Spirit to lead you and give you a Jesus encounter that will strengthen you to stay in holy anticipation as the believers did on the day of Pentecost.

It requires faith to stand firm and anticipate a promise from God. Faith takes courage and holy strength. God does not lie nor does His word return void. Stand in faith, speak His promises and walk in expectation. See the Holy Spirit power prepare signs, miracles and wonders in your life.

Women Rise Up!

Anyone reading the news lately will see the number of women's rights groups that are gaining attention and growing in participation. It seems like women have had to fight an uphill battle since that fateful day when Eve was tempted, by Satan to eat the fruit, in the garden of Eden. It is time for women to rise up and take the place Jesus secured for them as a daughter of the King.

Women were created for men so that men would not be alone. God could not find a suitable companion for the man He created until he created Eve from the rib of Adam. With all the beauty God created for man, He realized that man needed more-he needed a woman.

The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” Genesis 2:18

From the beginning of time, women were needed to compliment men. Both sexes were created with different talents, skills and abilities. Together, men and women, are able to build, create and change their families and communities to reflect the Kingdom of God.

You may have heard from a church pulpit that women are lesser than men and must be subservient to their husbands. Women are not made as anything less than perfect if you consider the scripture that God said He made man into the image and likeness of the most high God. He then created a woman from the man.

There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:28

It is time for women to realize who they are as children of the most high God and walk as they were created to rule and reign. Perhaps you were a daughter who was neglected or felt less than perfect, no matter what you did it never seemed to be enough for your dad. Maybe you were verbally abused by men who put you down and never respected you for who you were created to be.

Nothing that has happened to you in your past has changed who you are as a daughter of the King. You were created in His image as royalty, as a joint heir with Jesus, seated in the heavenly realms. You were created at this time for a specific purpose that requires action on your part. The enemy may have kept you beaten down, tired or silenced in shame but it is time to rise up!

Esther 4:14 “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”

Esther was an orphan who had no real future but because of her great beauty, she won the attention of the King. After becoming the queen, she had to risk her life by making the decision to speak up to the King to save the Jews or remain silent and perish along with all her people.

Is there some fear in front of you keeping you from speaking up and rising to the place Jesus secured for you? Rise up to take your seat as royalty.

God Looks At The Heart

Doesn't it seem like there is so much focus on what you look like? Our society is focused on the exterior of a person, when God is focused on the interior. Remember the old saying you cannot judge a book by its cover? It is true that people can take a look at you and judge based on what you are wearing, how you look and how you communicate.

God is more interested in the condition of your heart and what you are doing to build a loving relationship with the great I AM. There are people who look very polished on the outside and sound very distinguished but on the inside, they are carrying guilt, shame and addiction.

The man replied, "who appointed you to be our prince and judge, are you going to kill me as you killed that Egyptian yesterday?".... then Moses was afraid, thinking "everyone knows what I did." Exodus 2:14

We don't have to look very deep in the Bible for examples of people who can be identified as less than perfect yet God purposefully chooses imperfect people for a perfect God. Most people credit Moses as a great and mighty man who lead the Israelites to freedom, but Moses had multiple flaws and carried guilt and shame. After growing up in the palace as part of royalty, he ended up murdering a man and fleeing from Egypt in fear. Does that sound like a fearless leader?

Moses on the exterior looked like a strong, wealthy, healthy man yet his interior did not match what he looked like on the exterior. God was not surprised by any of the circumstances which Moses created just as God is not surprised by your circumstances. Even if you made bad choices in the past, carry shame that you can't shake and feel fearful at times, God is prepared to develop you into a leader for His Kingdom.

Moses was afraid and hid his face when the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of the bush. Exodus 3:2

Seeing the Lord would probably cause many people to be afraid, yet Moses was not just afraid, he was hiding his shame and guilt. He knew that God could see every sin he had done. God always sees in us every painful mistake we chose but He loved us too much to leave us in that place of bondage and just as God had a plan to bring the people out of Egypt, He has a plan for you for your life.

Moses replied to the Lord, "Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?" Exodus 3:11

Who am I - That may be what you are thinking or have thought about yourself. Who am I to raise these kids alone, who am I to be in a managerial role, who I am to bring about change in my family?

When your eyes are focused on God, not your circumstances and you are walking forward in faith, your character is growing stronger. Character is an interior element of who you are and who you are becoming. Maybe your exterior does not reflect your interior to the world, but God sees the mighty leader in you, and He will honor your commitment to Him.

Am I Doing Great Things For The Kingdom Of God?

We are celebrating our American Independence Day this week on the 4th of July. This holiday is a significant reminder of the sacrifice that our forefathers did on our behalf to gain freedom and independence. Jesus was our great sacrifice, who stood in our place to die for our sins, so we could be free from death. How many people understand freedom is not free, it comes at a cost? Jesus paid the price and not only did he give us freedom and life but he allowed us to reconciled back to our Father in Heaven. Jesus redeemed us so we could continue His ministry after He returned back to the Father.

John 14:12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

As followers of Christ we are called, anointed and appointed by God to do greater works than Jesus did. You are a joint heir with Jesus and a son or daughter of the most high. You are called to ministry as a messenger, king and a priest. All these roles are part of your true spiritual identity as a citizen of Heaven.

You can know your identity but not walk in the power that God gives to His children. Identity without power is not going to further the Kingdom, it is not going to take back territory from the enemy, it is not going to heal the sick.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere... Acts 1:8

Jesus did miracles because God was with Him. God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and power and He went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil for God was with Him. Acts 10:38

· Jesus delivered the captives because He was anointed with the Holy Spirit and power

· Jesus had results because the anointing is for action

· No anointing, no power, no action

· For 30 years there were no recorded miracles of Jesus, yet He was just as much the Son of God for 30 years as He was for the 3 ½ years of public ministry

· Jesus was born of the Spirit of God

· Jesus was conceived by the Holy Ghost

· He had all the nature and character of God for He was fully God and fully man

· But His public ministry did not begin until He was baptized in the Jordan river and the Spirit of God descended upon Him in the form of a dove and God anointed Him at the time

Do you need a fresh anointing? When life's struggles and stress begin to tear down your anointing, it's time to come back to your Father. Every day you need a fresh touch of God to see the results of God on your life. Jesus was our example, as He maintained a fresh anointing by seeking the presence of His Father in His life.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are Sons of God.

You are called for such a time as this! God wanted you here at this time and place for a reason. As a follower of Jesus, your purpose is to carry on His ministry to the ends of the earth. Spend time with the Father, you will find your anointing and spiritual power return! Share the Good News of freedom that Jesus paid for.

If The Lord Is God, Follow Him!

There is an old saying, "the eyes are the windows to the soul" but does it have real meaning behind it? Your heart is your spiritual eye and your eyes are the spiritual light of your soul. If your heart and mind are focused on your Heavenly Father, your eyes will carry His light. They are all 'windows' to your spirit.

The enemy is looking for any crack or trauma he can use to cause you to look with your natural eyes at a looming situation in your life or your family, which will cause you to shrink back in fear.

2 Tim 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, love and a sound mind.

Intimidation is a common tactic from the enemy which he has been using for thousands of years. God is waiting to see, in the supernatural, what your response is to the circumstances that you see in the natural.

Elijah, the prophet, had to face many fears as he was not always the bearer of good news to kings and the people of Israel. In 1 Kings 18, Elijah had to present himself to King Ahab to request a spiritual showdown of truth for the Israelites, who were worshiping false Gods. Ahab summoned all the people and the prophets to Mount Carmel.

Elijah said, "How long are you going to waver between two opinions?" he asked the people. "If the Lord is God, follow him!" "But if Baal is God, then follow him!"

1 Kings 18:21 And the people of Israel did not say a word.

On Mount Carmel, 850 false prophets prayed to their false gods, Baal and Asherah, but there was no reply despite hours of chanting and shouting. Elijah was obedient and confident in God and even when he was outnumbered 850 to 1, he knew that His God was the only true God.

Elijah prayed, "O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, prove today that you are the God of Israel and I am your servant..." "Answer me so these people will know that you are God ..." 1 Kings 18:36

Suddenly a fire flashed down from Heaven and burned up all the sacrifice including the dust. The people reacted by falling on their faces and shouting "Jehovah is God".

Has the devil got you faltering between strong faith and battle fatigue? Have you begun to comprise from the position God wants you to remain in? Is your spouse wrapped up in an affair, has your adult child walked right into a trap of the enemy, has your co-worker slandered you again? Compromise will silence your spirit while obedience gives your voice power.

1 Peter 2:15 But doing the will of God will silence the wicked.

We serve a God who is mighty and answers not just in small miracles but by fire and fury. Our God is a consuming fire and His fire is released when we speak His word. Speak to the negative situations with the fire of His truth. Look at the situation with your spiritual eye, your heart, as you trust in the God of Israel!

The Condition Of Your Heart

What is the condition of your heart? The medical community looks at your heart to determine if there are any physical problems or potential risks. Your Heavenly Father looks at your heart as well, He looks to see what spiritual condition your heart is in. Your heart is the key to a strong, healthy spiritual life.

The peace of God will guard your heart as you stay in prayer. Philippians 4:6

A cheerful heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit makes one sick. Proverbs 18:22

Silver and gold are purified by fire, but God purifies hearts. Proverbs 17:3

Many people don't even know that their physical heart is at risk for disease and they continue to function with no regard for the potential of death or hospitalization. This same issue can also be found in the hearts of believers in Christ. Maybe you attend church on a regular basis, volunteer in the children's ministry and participate in a Bible Study. You may think that your heart is open to God and you have a healthy relationship. But that may be just on the surface and just as a doctor will run tests to check on the internal function of your heart, God is looking for those people who humble themselves in reverence and honor for Him.

Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked them: "Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened?” Mark 8:17

Do you know that a hardened heart can block you from receiving miracles, seeing everyday breakthroughs and from recognizing Jesus in your midst? A hardened heart will blind you of the very thing that God put in front of you.

The disciples saw many miracles of healings and deliverance through Jesus' ministry, yet they were unable at times to recognize their teacher because their hearts were not spiritually mature.

Jesus healed Peter's mother in law of a fever, lepers, a paralytic who was lowered from the rooftop by his friends, a man with a withered hand and delivered legions of demons from a possessed man. The disciples were with Jesus and saw with their own eyes the miracle healings, yet they were unable to recognize Jesus at times.

During the forty days after his crucifixion he appeared to the apostles from time to time, actually alive and proved to them in many ways that it was really he himself they were seeing. Acts 1:3

Prayer, forgiveness and reverence for God prepares your heart for His word which gives life to your spirit. Is your spiritual heart hardened with bitterness, anger or resentment? Have you put up a wall around your heart because you not received the promises of His goodness? God is a wonderful Father who loves you unconditionally, but He will not force His love on you. Is there a deep wound from your earthy Father that you cannot get past?

Reverence for the Lord is a fountain of life; its waters keep a man from death. Proverbs 14:27

A relaxed attitude lengthens a man's life; jealousy rots it away. Proverbs 14:30

Walk This Way

Walking is a process that we reach by moving step by step. This is not an easy process and for most children it can take many, many attempts. We learn to persevere and if you have watched a young child stand and then fall back to the ground, they don't give up. Our spiritual walk is similar to our physical growth in many aspects.

Once you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you made the greatest decision you will ever make on this side of eternity. It's a life changing moment that literally changes your destiny and your daily walk! But that is just the beginning of your spiritual life as a follower of Jesus.

With each day, brings new opportunity for your spiritual growth to move forward, remain where you are or in some cases for you to fall back into sin and bondage. Each day is a virtual clean slate, with many choices ahead that you need to make, which will determine your spiritual walk and growth.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord; and he delights in his way. Psalm 37:23

You may have heard the scripture that says to "walk by faith and not by sight". This sounds like a simple enough statement but what does it really mean? Walking by faith requires a deep trust in your Heavenly Father and the good plan He has for you. According to Hebrews 11:1-2, faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that something is real even if you do not see it. Without faith, no one can please God. Anyone who comes to God must believe that he is real and that he rewards those who truly want to find him.

Strong faith requires trust beyond what you can see. In fact, what you see before may be frightening or chaotic. That is where you need to decide if you are looking at your situation with your natural eyes or your spiritual eyes. Do you see a bad doctor's report, a wayward child, a downsizing at your office or a friend who betrayed you?

Hebrews 11:7, it was by faith that Noah heard God's warning about things that he could not see. He obeyed God and built a large boat to save his family. By his faith, Noah showed that the world was wrong and he became a man who was made right with God through faith. It was also by faith that God's people left Egypt and crossed the Red Sea just as God parted it to reveal dry land. It was by faith that the walls of Jericho fell as the the Israelites had followed God's orders to march around them for seven days. It was by faith that Rahab, the prostitute, welcomed the spies and was not killed, along with everyone in her town who refused to obey God.

If your steps are ordered by God, He will direct you, keep you, rescue you, override satanic assignments against you as you stay strong in your position of obedient faith and do not move from the center of His will.

If this is really so, guide me clearly along the way you want me to travel so that I will understand you and walk acceptably before you. Exodus 33:13

God is a loving and merciful Father who wants the very best plan for each and every person no matter what mistakes they have made in the past or will make in the future. The key to living and growing in your spiritual walk is being obedient to what God has promised you. The Bible is full of wonderful promises that God has given to you. Ask your Heavenly Father where He wants you to step? Read and meditate on His promises as you walk in tandem with His plan for you.

As you step forward today are you walking in faith or what you see in front of you? Faith requires obedience, determination and patience. As your faith increases, so will your spiritual growth and your personal relationship with Papa God. He rewards those who seek Him!

He Never Saw It Coming!

Sometimes when you find yourself in a heated spiritual battle, the surprise attack is the best strategy. In the US, we recently celebrated Memorial Day as a day to look back and remember the brave soldiers who fought for our freedom. Let's not just remember those who served in the military and did not shrink back in fear from fierce battle. We can learn from their strong dedication and determination. They sacrificed on a daily basis, their lives for our freedom. Christ already sacrificed His life so we could be free. As followers of Christ, we can apply the same character values of a soldier to our own lives.

We are in a daily battle for the Kingdom of God! Those people who understand their assignment and their position will continue to fight against Satan and his strategies. Chaos is one common situation that the enemy will use to confuse and defeat people. It gets them to move off the course God has intended for them or even worse; freeze in fear without ever moving at all!

Some trust in chariots and some trust in horses but we trust in the name of the Lord Our God. Ps 20:7

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. Prov. 18:10

When you put your trust in yourself, your boss or your friend, most likely, you will be disappointed at some point. We are humans with emotions, feelings and past pain that can be triggered at any point for a variety of reasons. When you realize that you were created by your Heavenly Father to trust in Him, that should give you a deep peace which no storm can overcome. In a loving relationship, there is always a level of trust that requires both parties to enter into. God your Father wants you trust Him in all situations, no matter what difficulty the enemy throws into your path.

Just as a soldier has to go through extensive boot camp training and learn the best actions to take when confronted with the enemy, so do you as you fight your own spiritual battle. Perhaps you were betrayed, rejected, overlooked and shut down, the circumstances Satan used to destroy you were the very pressure that performed a perfect work in you. You became stronger, gained wisdom and perseverance because of those negative events in your life. The good news is that as you gain new skills, abilities and tactics, you will also gain a holy confidence.

In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence and his children shall have a place of refuge. Prov 14:26

For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. Phil 1:6

When your fear turns to strong faith, you are prepared for whatever the enemy throws into your life. Faith brings you to a position where you can stand in holy confidence and let God go before you to fight on your behalf. The devil never saw this coming! He saw your sleepless nights, your tears and your pain. In the process, you became bold as a lion, gentle as a dove and wise like a serpent. What the devil meant for harm; God will use for good!

Are Your Heart And Mind One In Power?

Maybe you are a student of the Lord and you love His Word. His word is life and hope but there is so much more that many believers are missing out on. Most Christians can recite the Lord's prayer but do they really know the power released by His Word?

For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. 1 Corinthians 4:20

We are in a power struggle each and every day. You are called to fight in the daily battle as a mighty warrior for God. This spiritual war is not something to be taken lightly, it is why you are alive and breathing as a child of God. He created us to be living in the garden of Eden walking with Him in a daily relationship. That was His plan and although sin separated us from God, He always has a better plan that we can image. Ultimately, His plan was fulfilled through the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus. God never intended for us to live on our own, defending ourselves against the strategies of the enemy. Is your heart open and communicating with Him?

The Holy Spirit is how we can understand who we are and how we are called to operate as Kingdom minded warriors. He is the gift that God gave to those who are baptized in the name of the Jesus. The Holy Spirit is not just something we hear about on Sunday in church, He is alive in our spirit, ready to lead us and guide us in all truth.

And that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened (flooded with light by the Holy Spirit) so that you will know and cherish the hope to which He has called you, the riches in His glorious inheritance in the saints. Ephesians 1:18

Man has struggled with the reality of this gift since the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit was given from God to Jesus' disciples in the Upper Room. When the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples, they changed from ordinary followers to extraordinary. Instantly, they were transformed and aligned with the Kingdom. The disciples received power through the Holy Spirit. It changed everything. These followers of Jesus had been waiting, watching and staying hidden in anticipation of a promise from Him.

"John baptized you with water, " he reminded them, "but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit in just a few days." Acts 1:5

"But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power to testify about me with great effect"... Acts 1:8

The power of the Holy Spirit caused these men to come out from their hiding place and boldly proclaim the Gospel to the nations. We have that same power and it is ignited by the strength of our faith. Paul spoke about this gift in Ephesians and described it as a 'precious treasure' in Corinthians.

And I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened (flooded with light by the Holy Spirit) so that you will know and cherish the hope to which He has called you... Ephesians 1:18

But we have this precious treasure in earthen vessels, so that the grandeur and surpassing greatness of the power will be from God and not from ourselves.

There is an ad campaign, "is it in you?", that a popular energy drink company uses as their brand slogan. Think about that question as it relates to the Holy Spirit. Maybe you read the Bible, attend church, conferences and still you don't feel His power in you. That's where faith kicks in. You can boldly go to the throne and ask the Lord to enlighten your spirit, open your spiritual eyes and bring your heart and mind into agreement on the power that resides in you. Ask yourself, "is He IN you" ?

Do You Know Your Identity As a Kingdom Minded Warrior?

A kingdom minded warrior has learned to decree victory before it manifests. The key word in that statement is 'before'. Before the long lost child returns, before the health report reveals change, before your family walks in unity with the Lord and before a new job opportunity arises. The enemy is relentless in his pursuit of derailing you from your blood-bought victory through Christ. Speak and declare victory over your circumstances, it crushes the enemy down to nothing.

The thief comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. John 10:10

A kingdom minded warrior refuses to allow the enemy to win. Because the enemy can not hear your thoughts, he watches and waits to see how you react to his lies. Warriors can get knocked down but they get back up again and again. When you are weak, He is strong. He fights on your behalf.

We are hard pressed on every side but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

The enemy is counting on you falling down and staying down. He will remind you over and over of your mistakes, sins and bad decisions. He has no power except the power that you give him when you get into agreement with his deceptive attempts. Jesus settled the score more than 2,000 years ago. The costs of your sins was death and it was paid in full.

Maybe you find yourself in a pit full of ashes and can't seem to move forward. The ashes of yesterday can be traded in for hope for tomorrow. That hope is found in Jesus. Hope gives you the power to get up and out of your dark, slimy pit. The ashes that were meant to destroy you, your dreams and your loved ones can become a badge of honor. Warriors are marked with scars and they are stronger because of their battle wounds.

The Lord will cause your enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you in one way and flee before you seven ways.

Honor and commitment are values which warriors exhibit, being a kingdom minded warrior is no different. When you honor God and continue to show commitment to Him, His Word and His love, nothing can harm you. Are You Being The Watchman on The Wall of Your Heart?

Maybe you have heard the saying, "change your thoughts, change your life". Has that concept moved from your head to your heart? Do you realize that what you think about yourself is who you eventually become? Thoughts can affect your life either positively or negatively.

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. Proverbs 23:7

Sometimes the enemy can be very subtle by planting a thought in your head. You may wake up one day feeling down and discouraged for no apparent reason. At this critical point, you as a gatekeeper of your heart, have the choice to agree with this lie of discouragement or declare the truth. The enemy is so sly, he is hoping you will agree with his prompting and allow his lies to permeate your heart. If you agree with his lies, he is thrilled that you swallowed the bait and left the gate open. You start to actually feel down and it continues to spiral from there.

It is our responsibility to be the gatekeepers of our inner Man. God has given us the keys to the Kingdom, but He also gives us free will. A loving father guides and corrects his children. As children mature, fathers let go of the parental reins to see what choices they make when he exchanges his guidance for free will. Our loving Father in Heaven is no different. He guides us every day through the Holy Spirit. He wants the very best for His children but He also wants to see our true character and our choices. This is a daily battle that we are well equipped to handle. It is our own responsibility to dismiss the lies and declare the Truth. The Lord will not do that for you.

Just as athletes practice over and over to build up their muscles through discipline, we can also build up our spiritual muscle. As we continue to be disciplined in our daily routines, we can defeat the devil by shutting the door to our heart against his unauthorized entry. Do you have a daily routine to build up your inner Man?

Morning and evening routines are the key to spiritual strength. When the first and last thing you do is focus on His word, you cover and protect your heart. Seal your heart against any unauthorized entry!

My eyes anticipate the night watches and I awake before the call of the watchman, That I may meditate on Your word. Psalm 119:148

By his delight is in the law of the Lord, And on His law, he meditates day and night. Psalm 1:2

Just as an athlete who is not disciplined can't effectively compete, we can become easy targets for the enemy when we don't practice feeding on the Word of God.

Build up your spiritual muscles as a strong gatekeeper of your heart. You will shut down the lies of the enemy when he tries to trick you. The Bible says after the third and final temptation from Satan to Jesus in Matt 4:11, "then the devil left him, and the angels came....".

This is true for your life as well. The devil must leave you as you speak Truth!

Take Your Daily Dose of Forgiveness

Prayer is much more than a petition. Prayer is your spiritual communion with your Heavenly Father. This is the time that we spend together with our Father in relationship. As we completely yield ourselves, we allow God the access He needs to work in our lives. We can know that as we pray, He hears our prayers. Don’t be disillusioned if you don’t see the answers to your prayers right away. The Bible says to pray in faith. Our faith is a gift from God. Not something we did but a gift from our Father to help us stay strong. As you pray, continue to thank God until you have received the answer to your petition. Don’t give up and allow the enemy to prevail.

The effectual fervent prayers of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16

Have you felt that at times you were wrestling God to get His answer? In Genesis 32:22-31, Jacob contended with God and wrestled Him all night. Sometimes we are called to an all night prayer vigil or an early morning on your knees to contend for breakthrough. Jacob, which means deceiver, was asked by God to state his name because he needed to acknowledge his weakness before he could receive His full inheritance. Is there something in your heart that God wants you to acknowledge so He can bless you? God is looking for a humble heart and a yielded spirit.

The Lord lifts up the humble but casts down the wicked. Ps. 147:6

There is no need to beg God for a blessing, He wants to bless you. Your Father’s affirmation comes through your prevailing in prayer, not necessarily in the answer. Jacob contended for his promise, he came out with a physical limp and was transformed. God’s presence had transformed Jacob, the deceiver to Jacob, the prince. He would forever limp in the natural but he also learned to lean on the Lord’s strength in the spirit. Perhaps you have developed a spiritual limp and you feel cursed. Your limp looks good on you. Yes, your limp has changed your spiritual walk into one of dependence. That is where God wants you.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. Psalm 28:7 NIV

So now we come freely and boldly to where love is enthroned, to receive mercy’s kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness. Hebrew 4:15 TPT

Remember who you are and whose you are. You can go boldly to the throne of grace. In boldness of faith, Jacob engaged God to fulfill His promise to bless him and make him a blessing to others. Wrestling with God in prayer is not trying to force God’s hand or twist His arm in getting your way. It is allowing your passion to rise up for what He has promised in His Son – that your trial would turn to treasure- the treasure of seeing the face of God in the midst of your greatest fears.

Jacob learned a valuable lesson in humility and perseverance. He wrestled God and was transformed. The love of God changed him forever. God wants to transform you and bless you. He is looking for a yielded, humble heart and steadfast prayers. It is not your job to push, control and manipulate God to get the answer you are looking for. It is your role, in an intimate relationship with your Heavenly Father, to continually commune for His blessing. Spiritual limp and all, seek Him and find yourself transformed by His love.

I Will Not Forget His Faithfulness

Sometimes the Lord will cause us to be uncomfortable in our comfort. Have you ever walked through a dry valley and gotten to a place of comfort only to forget His provision for you?

Our great God is not just a provider, healer and protector, He is the great I AM. As the creator of the universe, He who created us and every living thing, requires obedience. He does not ask for a blood sacrifice anymore, He sent Jesus to fulfill that requirement, so that we could be free.

Galatians 3:13 You have been redeemed from the curse of the law, for Jesus became a curse for us.

After forty years of provision and protection, only two of God's children were allowed to walk into the promise land. All the adults who saw the miracles of God's handiwork did not get to see the land of milk and honey. These people were set free from their oppressors in Egypt after 400 years, were fed manna from heaven every day, received water from a rock, saw that their clothes and shoes did not wear out and were protected by the presence of God as He traveled with them. Yet it was not enough. Not enough to stop grumbling and complaining. Not enough to stop remembering about the variety of food that they tasted in Egypt. That is why the children of the adults, who were freed, became the new residents of God's land for His chosen people.

Deuteronomy 8:2 Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands.

God has many blessings and provisions for us but the requirement He asks is simply our obedience. Many people are diligent in their prayers, daily life and spiritual walk in the difficult seasons but then they get out of the valley over to a resting place and they forget. They forget to praise God for His provision and protection. They forget to seek His face and walk in obedience. They forget His faithfulness.

Deuteronomy 8:11 Be careful that you do not forget the Lord God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees.

In Nehemiah 9, the people had finished rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem after much struggle and effort. The wall was a success and they were not defeated by the enemy. Yet the people were spiritually empty. The priest Ezra began reading the Law and their spiritual eyes were opened. The Word convicted them, and they began to cry out and repent. They recounted God's faithfulness to His covenant relationship with Abraham.

Psalm 77:11 I will remember the works of the LORD: surely, I will remember the wonders of old.

Deuteronomy 28:1 If you diligently obey the voice of the Lord God, and carefully observe all His commandments, that He will set you high above all nations of the earth.

You will be blessed in the city, in the country

You will be blessed when you come in and when you go out

The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and everything you put your hand to

The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity

The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of His bounty

The good news is that we can enter into the rest of God's blessings and protection by feeding on His Word and loving our Father. Matthew 22:36 Jesus said this is the greatest commandment, Love the Lord your God with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.

There are so many blessings in store when you choose to walk in obedience. Perhaps you strayed away and feel a distance between you and God today. The great news is He can't wait for you to turn toward Him today. Humble yourself before the King of Kings and He will welcome you with open arms. He is a faithful loving Father. Choose to remember how faithful He has been to you!

Spiritually Starved?

We recently experienced the annual Spring Forward in our seasonal time change. Days are already so busy with many people, burdens, commitments and tasks that we need to attend to. With 24 hours in a day, it can feel like you are running on empty at all times. There are seasons where we have so much on our plate that we run from one commitment to another. That is the sign to draw near to God and let His Word refresh you with His strength and fill up your spirit to overflow.

This is exactly what happened to Israel’s returning exiles. After 70 years of captivity, they were spiritually starved for God's Word. In Nehemiah 8:1-3, 5, 6, Ezra the priest began reading the Word and they could feel their famished souls being fed. "They read from the Book of the Law of God, making it clear and giving the meaning so the people understood what was being read." The people heard the Word and wept.

The Word is alive and ministers to our hearts, no matter how far or how long we walked away from God. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The Good News is that God is full of mercy and grace, He longs to be close to you and fill you up! God has already forgiven all your sins, the thing that me be keeping you from overflow in His love is a lack of humility and confession. The enemy will whisper to you that you are guilty and do not deserve forgiveness. What a pack of lies! God forgives us not because we deserve it but because of His great love for us. "

Nehemiah 8:10 ...This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength." While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

When the enemy comes knocking at the door to your heart to accuse you, condemn you and keep you bound in shame, tell him to get lost! Stir up the right heart response and declare truth over your Spirit. Your heart belongs to the Lord but your response to the enemy is your responsibility. No one but you can walk out and speak truth against a daily attack from the enemy. Get into agreement what God thinks about you.

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Proverbs 20:27 The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord. Searching all the inner depths of his heart.

Ezekiel 36:26, 27 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you, I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statues and you will keep My judgments and do them.

Is your heart meter dry and starved for His love? This is a personal choice and decision that only you can remedy. He is the great Physician and also the lover of our soul. You were created to be filled up in His love. Taste and see that God is good and His love endures forever. Declare that you need Him to fill in all the dry places in your life and specifically in your heart. He will not disappoint you!

The Power Of NO

In our busy, on-the-go society, there are so many choices and decisions that we face every day.

Sometimes, the most powerful single word we can say is "no".

The Bible teaches us the power of the spoken word. God spoke the world into existence and He said it was good! There is power in His Word and we, as His children, have the authority to speak light into the darkness.

When you are doing the will of God, the best answer you can say to your distractions and detractors is NO.

The power of 'no' can keep you on course, following His plan for your life and free you from hindrances that the enemy has set up to delay your destiny.

Discernment and persistence are the keys to eliminating distractions. No means no, that does not mean people and circumstances will not come back again and again to try and push you off the course of your path.

In Nehemiah 6:3, the enemy was determined to delay and end the repair and rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem. Many times the enemy sent men to try and stop Nehemiah from continuing his work of God. This mighty man of God did not waver or fall into confusion. He sent the same message four times. Nehemiah responded ‘Oh No! I am doing a great work I cannot come down!’

Nehemiah 6:8 “No such thing as you say are being done- you invent them in your own heart.”

Nehemiah 6:12 They hired a false prophet to speak lies and rumors against Nehemiah.

What plan do you know that God has set before you which the enemy is trying to stop your progress or even shut down your vision? It is time to hit the repeat button on your response. No means no. "Oh no, I am not going to allow any more distractions to the good plans God has for me and my family!"

"Oh no, I am not going entertain people who consistently deter me and prevent my forward progress."

As Nehemiah’s example of great strength under fire, we too must stay at task doing the will of God regardless of the incredible opposition that comes against us, knowing that when you do the will of God, every detractor and accuser will try to distract you but God’s power is available to carry you through if you don’t quit.

Are You a Leader?

Did you know that a leader is defined as a person of influence?

Given that definition, every single one of us is a leader.

Who do you interact with and what arenas do you walk in ? No matter if you are a stay at home parent, grandparent, bank teller, office worker, nurse, retail clerk or teacher; you have a ministry and people you can influence every day. From your own home to your workplace or even the grocery store, there are many people within your sphere that you can influence with His love. People are drawn to passion. When you are passionate about His love, you are attractive to other people.

The person in line ahead of you at the store looks very distressed and could really benefit from an encouraging word. It does not have to be very detailed or scripture based but just a reflection of His love delivered at the perfect time and place.

Maybe you feel that you do not have enough strength to lead anyone. You are stronger than you think. Your words are powerful and release faith in the atmosphere.

Isa. 40:29 He gives strength to the weary and increases power to the weak.

Isa. 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, For I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Luke 1:37 For no word from God shall be void of power.

You are a member of God's army, called to spread His love in your daily interactions. A smile or opening a door to the woman who has her hands full or for the older gentleman who is walking with a cane. That simple exchange can dispel darkness and shift the atmosphere.

“Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s'. 2 Chronicles 20:15

The good news is that we are called to His army but the battle still belongs to the Lord. We put on our armor, speak truth and let God. The victory belongs to Jesus!

A Light in the Darkness

Are You Willing to be a light in the midst darkness?

The presence of evil is not the absence of God’s power in your life, but is proof that God’s power trumps wickedness, for the one who remains faithful to Him.

Saints of God, your history tells a story & every story has a history. You had to go through what you went through to be who you are today! In the Kingdom of God, nothing is wasted! Every trial, every difficulty, every victory, paints the backdrop of your present circumstance and is the reason you are who you are today!

The Word says in Psalm 1:6 For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

Every great man or woman of God will be put in the fire and tested.

You will never know what you are made of until the heat gets turned up. Joseph found out there was a ruler inside of this rejected, discarded misjudged boy! Joseph was imprisoned on false charges, but never stopped being the light in the darkness. God worked through his yielded heart!

A yielded heart…this is the key to advancing through trials and becoming a light in the midst of darkness.

Are you willing to stand and be a light in the midst of darkness? Remember that everything you do counts in the kingdom.Even a cup of cold water given in His name is like giving it to the Lord Himself.

2 Corinthians 4: 6 & 7 For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves.

The weight of your circumstance may feel crushing at times, but it will not crush you.

2 Corinthians 4:8 & 9 … we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him from them all. Ps. 34:19

We must guard, our heart with all diligence for out of it flow the issues of life. Prov. 4:23

God uses broken vessels for His glory

Vessels who don’t give up when things are difficult but instead will stand in the face of trials and say, “Lord, no matter what I will serve you!”

Psalm 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Being a light in the midst of darkness is remembering that you get to choose to shine Christ in everything you do or say every single day.

Live life bringing Christ glory daily. Watch Him raise you up to levels you never dreamed possible.

Have you been praying and seeking the Lord for a specific prayer to be answered that you know is in His will?

God is not a man that He should lie. He tells us in His Word, as we diligently seek Him He will reward us. Hebrews 11:6

To diligently seek Him is to seek Him with all your heart.

Seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

According to the Word of God, when we call upon Him, He will answer. Psalm 91:15

In Jeremiah 33:3 the Word says, Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know.

As you pray He will give you revelation and insight.

When you pray be sure to listen for His voice.

Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10

In the listening you will find He speaks in many ways. Here are a few:

He may redirect how you are praying

He may give you insight you did not have

He will continue to give you His peace

The Bible says let the peace of God rule in your hearts. Colossians 3:15

Jesus is the prince of peace and will direct you into His perfect peace.

Just like any good father would take care of his children and comfort them while waiting for answers, how much more does our heavenly Father comfort us and give us His peace in the waiting!

Today as you continue to diligently seek Him, remember to let the peace of God rule in your heart and know He truly is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Quiet yourself before the Lord and know the Lord is your Shepherd and you shall not want. He makes you to lie down in green pastures and leads you by the still waters.Psalm 23:1 & 2

Take time today to be still before Him in complete trust and confidence. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up on eagles’ wings. Isaiah 40: 31

So Little, Yet So Much

Poverty, humility, hopelessness; as I ministered to the people of Pakistan, my heart grieved. They have so little, yet are so thankful to receive a simple prayer and a few scriptures. With each scripture read to them, their countenance began to light up. The Word of God working in the poorest of poor. They have so little materially yet appreciate so much.

The response of their heart causes one to think, “Have I grown accustom to so much that a cup of cold water is not producing gratitude within me?” “Do I have so much, yet appreciate so little?”

Lord, teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Lord, create in us a desire for the simple gospel and cause our hearts to yearn for You alone. Lord, give us an eternal perspective and a moment-by-moment gratitude in our heart for all we have.

Daily Warfare Prayer

God raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at the right hand of the Father in the heavenly realms far above all rule, authority, power and dominion. Eph. 1:20 & 21

God placed all things under His feet. I have been raised up with Christ and I am seated with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. Eph. 1:22, Eph. 2:6

Therefore, since I am seated with Christ, we are seated far above all rule, authority, power and dominion. Eph. 1:22, Eph. 2:6

All things are placed under my feet. I am seated above the power of the devil because I am seated with Christ. Eph. 2:6

I have authority to break the power of the devil. Your Word says; I give you all power over the enemy, nothing shall harm you. Luke 10:19

I take authority over the works of the devil in my life. I bind every demon spirit and forbid it to operate against me. Matt. 16:19

I put on the full armor of God today. I put on the helmet of salvation, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel shoes of peace, I take the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God and I refute every lie, and assignment coming my way. Eph. 6:10-18

I am an ambassador for Christ. The Lord has redeemed my life! Many evils confront the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. 2 Cor. 5:20, Ps. 34:19

I will submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from me! James 4:7

God blesses my life. My mind is bound to the mind of Christ. My heart is set on the love of God. My God is a conquering God. He is a restorer and a repairer of the broken walls. 1 Cor. 2:16, Isa. 58:12

I commit this day to the Lord. I declare the name of Jesus over my life. I apply the blood of Jesus over my life. I am victorious in Christ! I am a child of the living God. 1 Cor. 15:57

No weapon formed against me will prosper! Every tongue that comes against me in judgment I condemn it now! This is my heritage as a son of God and my righteousness comes from Him. Isa. 54:17

I loosen abundance, joy and peace in my life today. The Spirit of the living God rests upon me in Jesus name I pray. Amen. Matt. 16:19

One With The Father

Jesus in praying for all believers said in John 17:22 & 23, …that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

His heart’s expression to His Father was that you and I would be one with Him as He is one with the Father. His heart’s cry was for oneness, unity among the brethren.

Perfect oneness, perfect love. Jesus in us is oneness.

“That they may be one”… He cried out the Father that you and I would be one!

One in spirit

One in mind

One in heart

One in love

Only as we walk in the Spirit can we maintain the spirit of oneness.

When I walk in the Spirit, Christ, which lives in me, will reach out to Christ, which lives in you.

Perfect oneness. No striving, competition, backbiting, jealousies or hardness of heart; only love, that lays down its life.

If I am one with Christ as Jesus has spoken and expressed as His desired will, and you are one with Christ, then you and I as fellow believers should be one with one another.

Lay down any offenses and bitterness. Stop all quarreling and self-seeking, and learn to see Christ in the brethren.

Look past the stumbling blocks for we all have them.

The result of oneness, of unity is the blessing of God. For where there is unity, God commands the blessing.

How good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

For there the Lord commanded the blessing- Life forever more.

House Of Glory

Lord, I have loved the habitation of Your house, and the place where Your glory dwells.

The presence of God dwells in my home and in my body. I am a walking spirit that radiates God’s glory everywhere I go. This is His desire for all of us. Spending time with Him will bring this to pass. Don’t let the busyness of life steal the riches from heaven the Lord longs to give you. In Him you have the fullness of life, riches forever more.

When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the Lord. Exodus 34:29

Reflection: How much time in His presence and in His word are you spending daily? The more time spent with Him the more radiant you will be for Him. Ask Him to reveal His glory to you. Make time for resting in His presence. Busyness will rob you of His glory.

Father, bring Your glory and dwell in my midst. Let Your glory fall. I want to be a temple that continually radiates Your glory; a vessel that hosts a deep well of Your presence. It’s the glory that causes man’s spirit to cease all action, and stills man’s futility. Your glory invades an atmosphere and overtakes all that are present with Your thick weighty presence. Let Your glory fall in my home Lord, so that all who enter will be absorbed in Your unseen, yet very noticeable presence. Your presence in me touches everyone I encounter, giving them a taste of the Almighty.

Blessed and Highly Favored One

Luke 1:28

… “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you…”

Rejoice, highly favored one. The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women. Do not fear, for you have found favor with God. You will conceive in your womb and bring forth all that was deposited from God.

The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, for with God nothing will be impossible.

What He has conceived in you will leap at the sound of His name.

As you proclaim His name, “Jesus, Jesus, Jesus”, heaven’s choir rushes in to fill your surroundings and take you up into the arms of your Maker.

Immerse yourself with heaven’s symphony. Let His sound envelope you.

What He has conceived He will birth.

Give space for His deposit to be birthed within you. Then at the sound of His Spirit He will birth heaven’s masterpiece out of you.

Only believe. Blessed is she who believes for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were spoken to you from the Lord.

He will bring to pass what He whispered to your heart, when your heart cried out to Him, “Abba”, while your soul ached with pain, loss and devastation.

You have been marked with heaven’s approval, touched by the wind of His Spirit, ignited with His fierce love. His fire is ignited within you. You will not be denied.

A Web of Deception

Be sober, vigilant, because your adversary, the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

The enemy, the adversary, studies us.

He is studying our kids.

He repeatedly speaks lies to our kids’ minds, and because they are vulnerable, they buy into the lie. Slowly, they become deceived, devoured by the lies a little at a time.

They begin to believe the lie that they are not loved or accepted so they might as well go along with those enticing them down the wrong path. This is a subtle trap the enemy uses to deceive them and separate them from those who really do love them.

2 Timothy 2:26

The prince of this world has many well-laid traps that work in conjunction with the works of the flesh. Galatians 5:19 These traps are schemes the enemy uses once they have chosen to walk in the flesh. As a by-product of these actions, they enter this vortex—this web of deception.

Yet, their actions are a cry for help, a cry for love.

Not only are they looking to be loved, but also to be known and accepted. We need to know how to go to war against the deception that is enticing them to separate from their family and their faith in Jesus Christ. With that said, sometimes they refuse the truth and want their own way. When they push against us and reject what we have taught them, it hurts, and it can be very frightening. We must remember that each one of us has a free will; therefore, we cannot make anyone do anything they don’t want to do.

Yet, this does not mean we are powerless. God’s word is full of scripture telling us how to break the deception around them and release the truth.

Father, Your Word says, the Kingdom of God suffers violence and the violent take it by force. Matthew 11:12. We take authority over the deception that has overshadowed our kid’s minds and forbid those spirits from operating against them in Jesus name. Be Strong and Of Good Courage

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage, and do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Everyday holds opportunities for you to rise up and be a godly leader, and it starts with you.

Encourage yourself to rise up and be all Christ created you to be. Reject fear and intimidation. Reject thoughts of defeat or discouragement.

A godly leader is one who puts their confidence in Christ and leads by His standard and not their own. Today, start by encouraging yourself to rise up and please the heart of the Father in your daily tasks. Then ask the Lord to highlight one person you are to encourage. By speaking a word of encouragement you are influencing them.

Every leader influences others. Learn to speak life over yourself and life over others and be that godly leader you were called to be. Give life by speaking words of life.

Father, today direct my footsteps to see all You have assigned to me. Let me not miss my assignment. Today is a gift from You. I choose to open up this gift and be a godly influence in someone’s life. I bless my spirit man to soar on wings like the eagles and I will speak life to the ones you reveal to me. Give me Your heart and your eyes for them. I am strong and of good courage and I will not be afraid for you are with me wherever I go. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen

He Is On Your Side

…for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.

Elohiym, He is God, your exceedingly great and mighty God. There is nothing too difficult for Him. There is nothing impossible for Him. The God of heaven and earth is on your side. The atmosphere above you, the visible sky holding all the stars, and every nation on earth is subject to Elohiym, the Lord your God.

What battles are facing you today? Cast them on to Him. He is your exceedingly great reward. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.

Father, today I cast my cares upon You and remember that I serve the Almighty God, Elohiym and You are exceedingly great in the heavens above and the earth beneath.

I am surrounded by an atmosphere charged with Your presence and power. I choose to not look at the giants in the land but to my exceedingly great God who made the heavens and the earth. The creator of the universe, the God of angel’s armies is on my side. All things visible and invisible, thrones, dominions, and authorities are all created and held together by You. What can man do to me? I am the beloved of the Lord, blessed, favored and inscribed in the palms of Your hand. With You on my side, there is nothing I cannot do. I decree that today is my turn around day. I will pick up the sword and walk in my God given authority, for the God of heaven and earth is on my side. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen

He Walked By And Healed Me

When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.

Have you ever been there?

Have you ever been so desperate for something to change in your life; you sought for it with all your might?

In Mark 5:25-34 we are told of a desperate woman with the issue of blood lasting twelve years.

The woman with the issue of blood was at the end of her rope. She needed change. She needed healing and she needed it now, or it would be too late. She had exhausted every option for her healing, but the results remained the same. Her constant infirmity remained. For twelve years this woman’s infirmity plagued her. For twelve years she suffered many things from many physicians. All to find out, nothing helped, but things were growing worse. During those twelve years, she spent all the money she had on doctors in an effort to become well, but to no avail. She remained with her infirmity.

Frustrated, ostracized and forgotten, this woman was at her lowest of lows. All hope had been lost. She was forsaken and despised by all who knew her. In her lowest of times, in her utmost desperation, when she was at her wits end, she “heard” about Jesus, the man of God who was passing by.

Her faith arose. She would not miss her moment. Although she had not yet met Him, He had already captured her heart. She was a woman desperate for a touch of God. Soon she would experience His healing presence. Her heart heard the sound of hope before her eyes saw Him.

By faith she was led to Him, to this Man who would change her world around in a moment.

In a heavy congested crowd of onlookers, she made her way to see Him. She came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. Her faith spoke out, before her words were spoken. The overflow of abundance in her heart quickly welled up and spoke, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” This is faith in action. Her faith drove her to do what her heart longed for and her body was desperate for. She touched the hem of His garment, just His hem. Her brokenness was the vehicle, which drove her to His love.

Her passion propelled her to push forward in a hostile crowd because her heart was convinced that this was the real thing. Jesus is the answer.

This woman who has suffered at the hands of many physicians, who has emptied her purse in hopes of finding her answer, who has longed for pure love in relationships since being ostracized from all who knew her, reached out and touched the Son of God!

She touched the hem of His garment. Her desperation drove her to His feet. This is it. If only I touch His garment. She had nothing to loose for all had already been lost. “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” She reached out and touched His hem, and immediately the fountain dried up. Immediately what was trying to destroy her came to a stand still, and was reversed. She was healed.

The blood dried up.

You may need a divine reversal right now.

You may be at that place of desperation. You may be thinking, “If God does not come through then I won’t make it.” Beloved, reach out to the lover of your soul and touch the hem of His garment. He is here for you.

The woman knew in her body she was healed the moment she touched Him. Not only did she know it but Jesus also knew that power left his body. The moment her faith rose up and she touched Him, He turned around because He felt power leave his body. “Who touched my clothes?” Jesus responded.

With so many people pressing into Him, He asked who touched Him. On a crowed road with all the followers pressing in on every side, yet He asked, “Who touched My clothes?” Though many had been pressing Him and touching Him, only one touched Him with desperation and that desperation pulled on His healing power. He felt power leave Him. Fearing and trembling, she fell at His feet and told Him the story, the whole story.

Some of you need to fall to your knees and tell Jesus the story. The whole story. Your whole story. He is your healer. Jesus said, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace and be healed of your afflictions.

Prayer

Father, in my brokenness, I come to You and ask for Your touch. I can’t go on any longer without knowing You are with me. I lay down my fears, and everything that hinders Your love in my life. I believe You are the healer. You are the one who can heal my body and my emotions. In faith today, I reach out and touch You. I touch the hem of Your garment and believe that You are the same, yesterday, today and forever. Father, I ask for You to heal my brokenness and bring me to wholeness in You. I believe what You did for this woman with the issue of blood You will do for me. I believe there for I will receive Your healing power. In Your name I pray this Jesus. Amen.

O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the cliff, let me see Your face, Let me hear Your voice; for Your voice is sweet, and Your face is lovely.

This scripture beautifully portrays the intimate exchange between the heart of the Father and His beloved. It is His fullest desire to know His children yearn to seek His presence. It makes His heart sing to hear you call on His name and trust Him with everything.

The beautiful expression of God’s divine love is that it continually flows back and forth; from His heart to yours and from your heart back to His.

To enter into and experience His divine love leaves you eternally marked and radically changed. As you press into His presence you will feel His weighty love upon your heart and your heart’s response leaping from within.

Oh, to experience His divine love! It will transform your life. His love for you heals you, restores you and catapults you forward. His love marks your life with eternal purpose and heaven’s destiny. You were created by the Father and intrinsically

designed with a divine purpose only found in Him. As you press into the secret place your destiny is made clearer and clearer to you.

Press in and ask Him in prayer, Oh my Lord, my God, “Let me see Your face, let me hear Your voice; for Your voice is sweet, and Your face is lovely.” In His presence is the fullness of joy. Who you were created to be, comes alive as You dwell with the lover of your soul. Dwell with Him in the beauty of holiness. He is beckoning you to come away with Him and feed on His Word.

His love for you far exceeds what any human could ever give. My prayer for you is that you experience His love in a deeper measure today and your heart leaps within you with beautifully expressed devotion back to Him; the lover of your soul.

1 John 3:1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

Remember, Your heavenly Father wants your fullest expression of love back to Him. For He has already demonstrated His divine love and ultimate sacrifice in giving of His Son. Are you ready to encounter Him in His divine love? Are you ready to enter into intimacy with Him and experience His tender mercy and loving kindness? Are you ready to express your love to Him and hear His voice whisper back to you, “Will you be Mine?”

Father, how can I thank You for all You have done for me? If I were to try, it would be impossible. Today, I enter into the secret place with You, to find You and enjoy Your fellowship with me. Your Word says in Song of Solomon ‘let me see Your face, Let me hear Your voice; for Your voice is sweet, and Your face is lovely.’ This is my heart’s desire Lord. Father, let me see Your face and hear Your voice. For You alone can satisfy the longing in my heart and bring healing to every area of pain. You alone can transform my heart and bring peace and joy. I enter into intimacy with You and allow Your transforming presence to fill me up and renew my strength. Abba, I seek You not for what You can do for me but for who You are in my life. Thank You for always being there and never letting go.

I am overwhelmed by Your steadfast love and Your beauty. Teach me to find my value, my purpose and my destiny in You Lord. For in You is life and life forever more. Your love for me is my anchor and my hope is in You and You alone. In Jesus name I pray this. Amen.

The Obstacle Before The Breakthrough

Every promise will have its Goliath.

Every great breakthrough will have its Red Sea or Jordan River.

After 40 years in the wilderness, Joshua came face to face with the obstacle before the breakthrough. He was a man prepared for battle. He was a man with great courage and stamina, all which he learned through his wilderness experience.

He was a man who learned the greatest, most valuable key in advancing and breaking through any obstacle.

What was the key he learned? To have great trust and dependence on the Lord, before seeing the breakthrough.

How did he do it? … “When you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God…go after it.” Joshua 3:3

He learned to keep his eyes on the Lord and follow His presence, just as Moses did.

How about you?

Your obstacles are only there to make you stronger. The more push back you experience is only proof that your potential is that far wider, higher and deeper!

The key to your success is keeping your eyes on the Lord and pursing Him. Follow His presence and never let go.

He is faithful. He will catapult you at the right time. Remain faithful to what He has told you to do and watch Him advance you right through those obstacles and overcome them.

Father, I pursue You more than I pursue the breakthrough. You are my joy made complete. As I keep my eyes on You, I know You will tear down the walls meant to stop me and show me the way to go. I trust You and You alone. You are the Lord of the breakthrough. I decree that the obstacles in my way only serve as proof that my breakthrough is that much greater, wider and powerful. I decree that the obstacle before me shall become a level plain. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

Memorial Stones

Joshua 4:7

… “And these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever.”

Do milestones mark your faith journey? When you look back on your life, is there a thread, which tells of the faithfulness of the living God in your life?

When God does something great in your life celebrate it. Do something to remember it. Memorial markers should mark your faith journey.

The Lord had 12 men take a stone out of the Jordan River during the miraculous crossing of the Jordan River. They carried their stones out on their shoulders and set them up as a memorial for their children and children’s children to see. In the future when their children would inquire of the significance of these stones they could share of the faithfulness of the living God in their lives.

They shared their testimony of how they were at a place of great dependence on God and He walled up the waters and the whole nation of Israel crossed the Jordon River on dry ground.

What does your memorial look like? A picture framed and hung on the wall for all to see, your testimony written in your journal and read aloud to your children, special celebrations when you take time to remember the goodness of God as a family?

Don’t let your testimony die.

Share it with your children. Decree the goodness of the Lord to the next generation.

Take the time and ask the Lord how your memorial is to look like. Then display your testimony for all to see. In doing so, faith is kept alive and the obstacle you went through to get your testimony is also the doorway into your promise.

Father, You have marked my life with Your goodness and provision. As You direct me, I will set up my memorial as a sign and wonder for the next generation to see.

Thank You for taking me from being stuck behind an obstacle to walking through the doors of opportunity You have created for me. I will declare of Your goodness to the next generation. I will shout aloud, that the Lord my God is great and He alone has rescued me and saved me and placed me in a spacious place.

Your Enemies Will Cower Before You

Joshua 5:1

… “when all the kings….heard that the Lord had dried up the waters of the Jordan from before the children of Israel until we had crossed over, that their heart melted and there was no spirit in them any longer because of the children of Israel.”

Why are so many believers in Christ fearful of the enemy? One of the biggest deceptions on earth is that the enemy is a force so evil, Christians need to fear him.

Beloved in Christ, that is twisted thinking!

My Bible says that my enemies will cower before me and I will trample down their high places. Deuteronomy 33:29 My Bible also says that he may come against me in one direction but flee from me in seven ways! Deuteronomy 28:7

As we look at Joshua and the Israelites crossing over the Jordan River to inherit their promise, we see the dread of their enemies, because the enemy heard all the miraculous provision God provided for His children. Joshua 5:1

The enemy knew he was going against a battle that he would not win but be defeated instead.

When the kings who were in that land heard that the Lord dried up the waters of the Jordan before the children of Israel crossed over, their hearts melted, and there was no spirit in them any longer because of the children of Israel! Joshua 5:1

The enemy heard God’s provision and fear struck his heart! His heart melted and there was no spirit in him any longer! That’s what I call victory!

What does that mean for you?

When you keep your eyes on Jesus your Rescuer, your Deliverer, your Redeemer and He causes the waters to part in your life, the obstacles to crumble in your life or the impossible to happen in your life, you become a threat to the enemy and he fears you for he knows God Almighty is on your side! Hallelujah!

Never forget Exodus 14:14 The Lord will fight for you, you need only to keep your peace.

Our job is to stay in right standing with the Father, Don’t walk in the flesh for you have been born anew. Walk in the Spirit and by the Spirit you will see your enemy fall by your side.

Father, we call upon Your name to destroy the wicked assignments against our lives. We decree that the battle is won and we are victorious in Christ. You said not by might, not by power, but by My Spirit says the Lord Almighty. Zechariah 4:6 We decree the assignments against us are destroyed by the powerful name of Jesus. We decree we are victorious in Christ. Amen!

Love's Pure Delight

Psalm 96:1,6,9

Oh sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Strength and beauty are in His sanctuary. Oh worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness!

Oh how He delights in your heartfelt worship. Pour your heart of love and adoration onto Him. Lavish your love onto the lover of your soul. He longs to hear you and His eyes are ever upon you. Worship the Lord your God for He delights in you and longs to hear the sound of your voice expressed in adoration unto Him.

Father, I love Your ways. I worship You and express my thankfulness for who You are in my life. You are the song my heart sings. You are the thoughts my mind dwells upon. Thank You for calling me Your own. Thank You for being the fragrance of my life. I worship You in the beauty of Your holiness. All my adoration to You I give. All my love I lavish upon You, my love’s pure delight. I rejoice in You, my God and lover of my soul. Amen.

May you know the abundant love of your Heavenly Father flowing though you all the days of your life.

The Alabaster Jar

Mark 14:3

While Jesus was in Bethany, at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came  having an alabaster flask of very costly oil of spikenard. Then she broke the flask and poured it on His head.

Costly oil born of life’s adversities for every believer becomes your alabaster jar filled with your fragrant offerings if you let it.

The jar is not meant for you to keep, but for you to break open and lavish on Jesus. It is costly because it has cost you something; pain, loss and suffering. Yet to lavish your oil as an offering unto Jesus, is to break open the jar of your heart filled with pain, loss and suffering and give it all away. It is your extravagant form of worship. Break open the flask of oil kept for Him. Pour out your heart unto Jesus. The pain and anguish will turn to expressions of love and exhilaration. He will fill you anew with unspeakable joy. Once the flask is broken and poured out upon Him, your heart of love for Him will soar. You will be ruined for the ordinary, never to be the same again. Once you have given Him your all, He lavishes on you the riches of heaven. His passion becomes your passion, for He is a God of compassion. Your heart will beat to a different drum, to the beat of His heart. Don’t waste your pain; give it all to Him, in abandoned, reckless love.

Break open your alabaster jar and lavish it on Him. It is your sacrificial offering, an exchange of passion for Him.

Father, because of Your loving kindness, I live. Because Your love is better than life, I live. I was in chains and You set me free. I was in prison and You released me. I was tangled in a web; Your tears washed over me, and brought my healing. You drew me to Yourself when everyone else abandoned me. You held me and never let me go. Now I rest between your shoulders. I’ve been kissed by the Son; Oh breath of heaven, hover over me. I am wrapped in Your beauty, embraced in Your loving arms, canopied by Your wings. Free to be Your created one. I’ve been captured by Your grace, surrounded by Your love, because of You, I live.

Reflection: Don’t let fear, shame or loss, keep you from completely abandoning yourself to Jesus. His love is better than life. Get into a quiet place and have a heart‐to‐heart talk with Him. Pour out your heart to Him. Let His love overshadow you and love you back to life.

Seated In The Heavens

Ephesians 2:6

…raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus…

Colossians 3

Your God given inheritance, your right as a son or daughter of the King, is that you have been seated with Christ in the heavenly places. With your seat in the heavens and the banqueting table set before you, you are empowered to live, love and rule your life from this dominion. As the heavens are His throne and earth His footstool, you too are seated in the heavenly places with your feet over the enemy’s domain.

It is no longer you who live but Christ lives in you.

Your life is hidden in Christ. You are wrapped in His arms, surrounded by His love, embraced in His compassion. He has robed you with robes of righteousness and garments of praise, and adorned you with a crown of glory. You are His royal diadem. He is your Bridegroom, and has given you a new name; His delight, for His delight is in you.

You are hidden in Christ, married to the King and His delight is in you.

It is important to remember your identity in Christ, and operate from this place. You are the elect of God, chosen by Him to reveal His unending love to a nation that is bound, broken and orphaned.

You are holy and beloved because Christ in you is holy and the Beloved One. You are His delight. Never forget where you are seated. Never operate from a low place when your chair is waiting for you to sit in and operate from in heaven.

His Glory For Our Peace

Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Roans 5:1 &2

…being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ…and rejoice in the hope of the Glory of God.

We are children of the Most High God. Jesus is our peace and our portion. It is His peace that He gave us, and He is the Prince of Peace.

If we lack peace we need to find out why because one of the benefits of His divine exchange at the cross was for our peace.

The enemy wants to strip you of your peace and put stress, anxiety and fear on you.

What is his main tactic? Keeping you so busy it robs you of peace.

If you find your life has become too busy, it may be time to look at what your doing and ask Him to remove what is not part of your future! What is not of Him.

Ask Him to show you what is good, but not best in your life. For good is the enemy of best.

Then be faithful to do what He asks you to do.

Being busy doing what He has asked you to do is a good thing.

But not spending quality time with Him, is being too busy and that is not good.

You will burn out if you don’t stop and re-assess your life.

It's amazing how much rest and peace we can have when we put God first in our lives.

Even in being busy, we can have peace when our lives are centered and in right alignment with the Lord, and our spirit and soul are being fed by his Word and His presence!

In this we are limitless.

There is nothing we can’t do!

We serve a creative God who loves to lavish us with good things.

It is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Luke 12:32

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 2 Cor. 9:8

In order to have anything to give, we must go to the Father like Jesus did...in a quiet place.

When we don't make enough time for Him, we get exhausted and begin to operate on our own strength.

That’s when we lose our peace.

The enemy is crafty. Though you have the best of intentions if you don’t pay attention to your day-to-day activities, he can get you going in so many directions and cause you to lose your peace.

When we find ourselves anxious, we must remember:

The Lord is my portion, therefore I will hope in Him. Lamentations 3:24 & 25

My daily practice to keep from getting off track:

Prov. 16:3 commit your works to the Lord and your thoughts will be established. (Your day-to-day activity)

Every morning turn your plans over to the Lord

For we make our plans but He directs our steps

Midday when you feel the heavy burden of so much to do…roll your cares upon Him again

Re align your priorities, your thoughts, and your emotions upon Him

He promises to establish your thoughts and make them clear

If your thoughts are established you will think clearly and get more done. But it will be in the Spirit and not the flesh

Psalms 37:5 Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass. (Commit your future plans)

To commit is to entrust the Lord with everything.

Intentionally commit all of your plans to Him.

Prov. 21:30 There is no wisdom, no insight or plan that can succeed against the Lord.

When you are in alignment with Him, there is nothing that can stop you

Jesus is your peace, and peace is your portion. Eph. 2:14

He is the Prince of Peace. And He lives in You!

Allow the Prince of Peace, the Captain and Chief Ruler of peace to direct your steps and exchange the anxiousness that comes from being too busy for His perfect peace.

Great peace have they who love Your law and nothing can make them stumble. Psalm 119:165

In His peace means in Him.

In HIM, you will achieve your goals, you will do more than you could imagine. You will go to heights beyond your understanding for our God does not put limits on us.

If we can trust and believe in Him in peace, there is nothing that will be able to stop the work of God in your life.

You will rise to the level of your expectations. So stop limiting yourself by putting your expectations on yourself. You are limiting yourself by doing that.

Put your expectations on Him, on Jesus.

You will mount up with wings like eagles; you will run and not be weary, walk and not faint. Isa. 40:31

He will set you in front of great men and women and give you favor and open doors you didn’t even know to knock on.

The key: Remember that peace is your portion from the Lord Jesus Christ and His divine exchange, but business will crowd it out.

Prayer:

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Rom. 15:13

And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:7

I take authority and bind all stress, fear and anxiety working though the enemy and I command it to stop. I cancel the assignments to destroy your life by destroying your peace.

I declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against you. Isa. 61:7

I decree you will receive a double portion inheritance in this life. Isa. 61:7

May His peace lead you and guide you and may you never let go of His peace for He exchanged His glory to give us His peace.
